God’s Song

Nate at Finding Truth shared this song. Thought it was worth sharing here.

Finding Truth

Ran across this video today. I’ve been a big fan of this song for years — it’s one of the clearest and most succinct illustrations of the Problem of Evil that I’m aware of. I don’t know anything about the YouTuber that put these images to this song, so I can’t explain the meaning behind the first slides of this video. However, I think he did a great job putting this together. It’s chilling, really.

Beautiful U R – Deborah Cox

This song really encouraged me this week. In the past few weeks I’ve had to get back in touch with who I am deep inside and bring her to the surface again. Looking honestly at yourself and all of your insecurities isn’t a fun experience! It’s been painful but liberating and necessary. Thought some of my readers might need to hear the message in this song as well.

I might be able to give my blog some more attention soon. Stay tuned!

If There’s A God – The Proclaimers

I came across this song today and I’d never heard it before. I only knew one Proclaimers song and was enjoying listening to their other stuff. Being an atheist, I already know my answers to the questions in this song (I don’t think there is a god), but I thought some of my readers might appreciate the song:

Little Wonders – Rob Thomas

Meet the Robinsons is my favourite kids’ movie and I love this song from it that I came across again today. I love these lines:

our lives are made
in these small hours
these little wonders,
these twists & turns of fate
time falls away,
but these small hours,
these small hours still remain

What more purpose do I need than that?  Small hours … little wonders … that’s enough for me now. Such a great song and very uplifting!

Here is the regular version of the music video:
